The RED Digital Cinema Camera is a revolutionary system which is capable of producing
images at up to 4.5K resolution, which rival that of 35mm film. The camera is now
a mainstay of the Advertising, Independent film and Music Video industries due to
its relatively low cost and quality. Hollywood has also been quick to adopt the
RED for use in Feature Films such as (most recently) "District 9", "Knowing", and
"The Book of Eli" as well as TV Show such as "ER" and "Leverage". This presentation
will explain what the RED-One is, discuss why it has had such an impact on the industry
and talk about the RED as a vehicle for the future of digital media.

Speaker: Andrew Clemson- DIT and Camera Technician, Alchemy Films
Andrew has worked with the RED system almost exclusively for the last 2 years,
both in Dubai and abroad and is now recognized as one of the regions foremost RED
specialists and data wranglers. As well as holding degrees in both Animation and
Film, Andrew has also taken part in RED training courses and seminars in both the
USA and UK.
Alchemy Films were the first production company in Dubai to convert to the RED system,
and have been shooting, editing and delivering projects on RED for almost 2 years.
In that time they have delivered work shot on RED for clients such as Emirates Airlines,
Jumeirah, EMAAR and CNN, among others.

Chris Fisher

In 1999 Chris Fisher moved to Dubai, and was part of the set up team for 2 new stations
Emirates Radio 1 and 2, before being poached to move to rival station “CHANNEL 4FM”.
Chris then worked at ARN (Free 967) until Dubai 92 was born, where Chris continued
his weekend breakfast shows. Until 2006 Chris was the presenter of “Chris Fisher
In The Morning” weekdays before moving to a more relaxing weekend show.
In September 2006 he came up with concept called “The Wizz Kids Quiz”
working with schools, pre recording a 32 week program.
This became so popular that a second season went ahead with double the amount of
schools taking part.
After 16 years in Radio, Chris is now setting up his own Radio School and will teach
teenagers all aspects of what goes on at a radio station from making the tea to
making the station output.

Rasha of 24 years-who also goes by Proxy is galvanized into twisting communication perceptions and theories into self-sculpt contemporary writing, adding a pinch of strategic digital elements, a dash of originality and spoon of eccentric lateral methods to her projects.
